UPDATE: Please continue to lift up Izzy Mendoza and his wife, Sheri, in prayer. Sheri’s liver is failing, and she has been given a 90-day prognosis. They are currently at USC, prayerfully hoping for a liver transplant and awaiting test results to determine whether she qualifies for surgery. Please pray that she is approved and able to receive the transplant.

Pray also for wisdom for the medical team, and for strength, peace, and God’s healing and sustaining presence to surround Izzy and Sheri during this difficult time.

In addition, please pray for provision, specifically for an afternoon job opportunity for Izzy. If you are aware of any openings, please reach out to Izzy directly.

Thank you for covering this family with prayer and love.

UPDATE: Our granddaughter, Lily, had surgery on October 12th to fix a hernia in her stomach and to install a G-tube on her stomach so she can get anti rejection drugs after she has a kidney transplant sometime next year. Surgery went well. She is now having blood dialysis in her veins while recovering for about 4-6 weeks. During this time she needs to be in San Francisco near the UCSF Children’s Hospital. Last week we had another test of faith. She got pneumonia which caused her lungs to fill up with fluid. She was put in intensive care, given a breathing tube, and was given antibiotics through her IV. She is much better now and expected to be discharged from the hospital this Friday, October 31st. There is still a long road ahead, but God has been with her every step along the way. Her parents were told that she wouldn’t survive birth.  She will be one year old on November 11th!  Her life is truly a miracle!  We are so grateful for everyone’s prayers during this past year!

“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”

Please pray for those who are living out in the elements, that they would be reconnected with family, where possible, and for God’s best outcome, where reconnecting to family is not possible.

Please continue to pray for those who aren’t able to reach out with their prayer requests. Please pray for the personal, private “unspoken“ prayer requests. And always remember, the Holy Spirit intercedes for us where words fail. (Romans 8:26-27)
